How Long Is the Process?
Every surrogacy journey is unique, just like every woman who chooses to walk it. While timelines can vary, this overview will give you a sense of what to expect as you help an amazing family’s dream come true.
Once you’ve completed the Harmony Surrogacy Quiz and are matched with an agency, you’ll begin their application process. From there, here’s a general step-by-step guide to how your journey may unfold:
The Steps in Your Journey:
• Take the Quiz: Find out if you qualify and take your first step toward something truly special.
• Pre-Screening: Includes references, background checks, an in-home interview, and collection of documents such as your medical records and ID verification.
• Medical Records Pre-Approval: Your records are reviewed by the IVF clinic.
• Psychological Screening: To ensure you feel emotionally supported and ready for this journey.
• Meet the Intended Parents & Match: One of the most beautiful moments of all!
• Legal Contracts: This takes about 4–6 weeks and ensures everyone is protected and comfortable.
• Medical Screening: Once completed, lab results usually take 2–3 weeks.
• Medications, Monitoring & Embryo Transfer: Typically a 4–6 week process leading to your first transfer.
• Pregnancy Test & Ultrasounds: About 2 weeks after your transfer, you’ll get to see those first little signs of life.
• Discharge to Your OBGYN: Around week 10, you’ll transition back to your own care provider.
• OBGYN Care: Continue your pregnancy with the love and support of your Harmony team.
• Delivery Day: The moment you help create a family. Witnessing that joy is truly indescribable.
